FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
I am always available by e-mail for questions about tours and to give you assistance, but there are some topics and subjects that come up very frequently. Hopefully, this page will provide answers to these.
Where do your tours start?
The tour begins from your hotel in Anzio or from Anzio train station. If you are based in Rome, the train ride is very panoramic, fast and easy. There are frequent trains from Roma Termini train station to Nettuno every hour
My suggestion is to catch the 8:12 am train from Roma Termini that arrives at Nettuno train station at 9:35 am. Please, visit the website of Treni Italia for train schedules and to book your train on line.
If you are not familiar or not comfortable using trains and prefer a door-to-door transfer, there is the possibility, with a supplementary charge, to have a transfer from your hotel in Rome to Anzio. Please, email us for further information.
Do you guide all your tours personally?
YES, every tour booked via Anzio Tours website will be led personally by Dr Danila Bracaglia
What is the cost of a tour?
Please, contact me by email and I will be happy to give you more information and a personalized quote. The price may vary according to many factors, number of people, type of vehicle and itinerary.
What Tour Itineraries are available?
I customize all my tours to the needs of my clients, but also have a selection of itineraries that I have been running very successfully for several years. Please, enquire by email for further information.
When do your Tours start and end?
The tour is about 7 hours long from 9.30am to 4.30pm. I will be waiting for you at the train station and we can start the tour soon after your arrival. If you are staying in Anzio or surrounding area, I will be ready to start whatever time suits you. Timeframe and length of the tour can be adjusted according to your requests.
What vehicle do you use?
I use a very comfortable Mercedes Benz Vito 9 Seater, a monitor to watch documentaries of the battle, pictures then and now, it has wifi, a/c throughout and good visibility.
I have not received a reply to my e-mail?
I am the only person answering e-mails and managing the business. I always try to reply to e-mails received within 3-4 hours, and usually much sooner. BUT sometimes if I am very busy unfortunately this is not possible, especially from May to October when I am on the road for tours. However, if within 2 days you have NOT received a reply, then there has been some kind of e-mail failure. Every now and then I reply to an e-mail and my message is returned undelivered. Sometimes this is due to your server rejecting my reply because it comes from an overseas location. If you don't get a reply try e-mailing from a different account - Gmail and web-based providers often fair better than other types of provider.
What should I wear?
Comfortable shoes and layered clothing including a waterproof jacket. I will supply umbrellas if needed.
I am looking forward to welcome you on board!
